Calf Muscle Pain
After a good long run, sore calves often mark your day. But it might be the case that sometimes your calf pain isn’t linked to any type of injury and hence needs your immediate attention. The blood from your heart is moved to and fro from the arteries that are present in your leg. The vein that you can see just beneath the skin known as superficial veins help in moving your blood farther into the muscle towards deep veins. There are also little valves present in these veins that prevent the misdirection of blood flow. However, due to a bursting of the vein, damage to the leg or injury to the valve, clots may be formed which results in swelling and leads to a condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Your lung or your heart can also get damaged in case the clot breaks loose wherein the latter could travel all through your body to block the arteries in your brain or lung. This possibility is a rarity but in case such misfortune happens, it might land you in serious trouble.
Smoldering feelings in Hands and Feet
Sometimes a strange tingling or a burning sensation is caused when you tuck your legs underneath or nap in a wrong pose as it cuts off circulation. But if you find yourself experiencing this condition off and on, then it could mean that you are suffering from peripheral neuropathy meaning thereby that there is some damage in your nerves causing your hand and feet to burn. Dehydration, shingles, alcohol abuse, vitamin B12 deficiency or diabetes can also be a cause of this burning sensation, but in any case the condition needs to be treated either by taking the prescribed drugs or through a physical therapy session.
One of Your Worst Headaches
Those headaches that come as a clap of thunder are the ones that you shouldn’t ignore as they might be a signal of a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). When a loose blood clot ultimately makes its way to the brain, it might moderately block an artery causing TIA or fully block the blood flow leading to a stroke. Other troubles associated with such a headache are trouble in talking or walking, suddenly falling to the ground if standing, dizziness, visual troubles or problems while holding a pen. If you experience any of these symptoms, it high time that you get yourself thoroughly checked and treated.
