Acrylic Fiber & Fabric
Acrylic is a man-made fiber. It was first developed and made from petroleum derivatives by DuPont in 1944.
Acrylic fibers are produced from a petrochemical called acrylontrile and are dry spun or wet spun.
Acrylic is used in apparel industry making sweaters, fleece fabrics, and socks.
They are also being used in home furnishing industries such as furniture, carpet, blankets, and upholstery fabrics.
Properties:
