It’s hard enough deciding which of your million shoes to wear when you head out the door. Choosing between flats and heels is tough enough. Having to pick between all the different sub categories of heels is even harder.
Footwear Poll – Fun Wedges or Sexy Heels
Today, let’s take a look at two different types of heeled shoes which exist in every fashionista’s wardrobe – regular high heels and wedge heels.
The former are now and always have been a style statement for decades. High heels spell sex, mischief, elegance, high fashion and chic.
Sexy Black High Heels
They are dainty and delicate, make your legs look fabulous, add inches to even the stubbiest of us, give your ensemble a clean silhouette and have this magical ability to add oomph to practically anything. Seriously, put on a pair of heels with your worst jeans and oldest tee and you’ll still look hot. So as far as heels go, you have to admit they have a very potent dose of sex appeal and glamour that no other type of footwear can rival.
Now, the wedges. Wedges are the girl-next-door’s everyday go-to footwear. They are fun and summery and waaaaay more comfortable to walk in so you are more likely to choose wedge heels for work or for a day out window shopping. The wedges impart a sensible aspect to an ensemble, unlike the heels which are undeniably adventurous. Because they are so much easier on the ankles and knees, wedge heels are now added even to boots and sports shoes.
Black Wedges
The wedges offer long-term comfort, lightness and style but heels are timeless and versatile, and actually much sexier than any other type of footwear. With wedges, you have to know the type of clothes to style them with otherwise you could end up looking just a tad clunky. As for heels, they are more likely to effortlessly blend into your ensemble and offer the perfect finishing touch while enhancing it with elements of boldness, chic and style. The scales dip in favour of heels in our book. But we know that eventually the type of look you’re going for and the message you want to send out with your outfit is what will really matter.
