The tropical makeup is great for those who want to look exotic and vibrant with the help of makeup. It has a fun feel to it and will add a fruity or rainbow touch to the face.
Here are two different looks, both of which are based on tropical makeup.
Tropical Makeup Look 1 Tutorial
Makeup Items Needed:
Tropical Makeup
Primer, foundation, concealer, compact, dark brown eyebrow pencil, eyeshadows in shades like orange, pink and shimmery light green, metallic blue liquid eyeliner, metallic blue kohl pencil, mascara, reddish pink blush, brown blush/eyeshadow, pink lip liner and lip shades in pink and orange.
Base:
Start by applying the primer evenly all over your face. This not only holds the makeup longer but also gives a smoother texture to the skin. Next, use the foundation on your face and neck, and blend well. Use the concealer on acnes, pimples, blemishes, pigmentation or dark circles. If your skin is smooth then you can give the concealer a miss.

- Use the dark brown eyebrow pencil to darken your eyebrows.
- Take the pink eyeshadow and apply it over your upper eyelid, extending upwards till the crease area.
- Once you are done with this step, take the orange eyeshadow and apply it on the area above the crease and along the brow bones too. Extend it sideways as well – so that on one side it reaches up to the side of the nose bridge and inner corner of the eye, and on the other side extends till where the eyebrow ends and forms a triangle between the end of the eyebrow and the lower lashes in the shape of a wing.
- Use the shimmery light green eyeshadow along the lower eyelash, starting from the inner corner of the eye and extending out towards the outer corner of the eye.
- Draw a winged line extending out from the upper eyelid, with the metallic blue liquid eyeliner.
- Fill the lower eyelash rim with the metallic blue kohl pencil.
- Finish the eye makeup with two coats of mascara.
Cheek:

Suck your cheeks in and apply the reddish pink blush on the hollows created beneath the cheekbones.
Nose:
Contour the nose, in order for it to look thinner and sharper, with the brown blush/eyeshadow. Do this by applying it along the length of the two sides of the nose – starting on both sides of the nose bridge and extending below to both sides of the tip.
Lips:
First apply the pink lipstick all over your lips. Next, take the orange lipstick and apply it right on the middle area of the lips, on both the upper and lower lip – on the part that usually forms the pout. After this, line the lips with the pink lip liner.

- After darkening your eyebrows with the dark brown eyebrow pencil, apply the beige eyeshadow on your upper eyelid – starting from the inner corners of the eyes and extending in a winged shape beyond the outer corners of the eyes.
- Ensure that the winged part applied with the beige eyeshadow touches the area where the eyebrow ends (see photo). Next, use the same eyeshadow along the lower eyelash line starting from the inner corners.
- Use the green eyeshadow right above the beige shaded area, just above the crease of the upper eyelid – this too would be applied in a winged shape running parallel to the beige winged area.
- Use the yellow eyeshadow above the green shaded area, in a thin line along the eyebrow bone.
- Take the black eyeliner and draw a winged line which outlines the lower part of the beige shaded area (see photo).
- Line the lower eye rim with the blue kohl pencil.
- Finish the eye makeup with a coat of mascara.
