For a label with a very vivid and appropriate name, its spring summer 2013 collection was full of fashion forward swimwear. The presentation took place during the Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week on July 22 2012 in Miami, Florida.
The label favored many subtle and wearable trends this season, which speaks well about its carefree Australian roots.
Color Trends
Fashionistas are yet not over with their sweet-tooth fixation as candy and bubblegum colors ruled the ramp for White Sands. There were delicious minty greens, lilacs and soft pastel pinks. The message was to keep it sweet, young and feminine while on that holiday.
Print Trends
The prints showcased had an effervescent quality and were very easy on the eyes visually. The floral bloom print above with its colors was soothing even, if you will. It was beautifully used in a cover-up blouse featuring side cowls as well as in a boat neckline maxi.
The other print we loved was a candy take on the regular black and white. The pink opted for instead of a white lend a feminine side to the otherwise bold concept. We give them extra chic points for the ruched swimsuit combining solid and print.
Silhouette Trends
Plunging V necks and cut out necklines notched up the sexy quotient of an otherwise sugary collection. The balance of fun, sweet, sexy and glam is what we adored.
Another big hit on the ramp were halter neckline bikinis. They always work great for strong shoulders and defined collar bones.
Glamcheck’s pick
From a good bunch of swimsuits, bikinis, cover-ups and maxis we had to pin point our exact favorite in the show. Turns out the look that we applaud most is a batwing sequin cover up paired up with a black bikini bottom and tangerine lips.
