The 69th Venice Film Festival continues to garner celebrity footfall and media attention from all parts of the globe. International trends and the local flavour offer several avenues of delicious inspiration for fashionistas. At the premiere screening of “Apres Mai” on September 3, we were bowled over as we expected to be by Carole Combes.
What she wore:
Camel-colored shorts with black lace top
Carole’s look was classy yet approachable. She wore a pair of charming camel-colored shorts, pairing it with a black lacy top with three-fourth sleeves which was mostly see-through and showed off her black bra. Her chunky silver bracelet and black peep-toe platforms were simple but invaluable additions to accessorize her outfit.
Hair and Makeup:
Side-swept curly hair; kohl-lined eyes
The petite brunette’s grown-out bangs were combed forward and to the side of her forehead in an almost demure way. The bulk of her tresses were styled in curls and swept over her left shoulder. Carole’s makeup had a bit of a vixenish, slightly-Goth feel to it. A deep plum lipstick accentuated the contours of her constantly-laughing mouth, red nails affording another pop of color. She completed her look with mascara and black eye liner.
Get the Look
For a day look, you can wear a white lace top instead of a black one and accessorize with nude pumps. Sport this look for a night out with the girls, a movie or a dinner date. Since the outfit has elements of both the casual and the formal it can be appropriate for several occasions.
