Bridal collections always capture a woman’s imagination. The Barcelona Bridal week was a special event with the best designers presenting their out of world collection.
Designer Rosa Clara presented her gorgeous spring-summer 2013 bridal collection earlier this month in soft and romantic pastel shades. The collection had clearly three themes dominating the entire look – Greek style, chic new look and inspiration from the 1920s. Color white though dominant, was slowly and surely replaced with light pinks , off whites and other pastels.

The flowy silk chiffon fabric looked great and hugged the model at all the right places.
The stripes on the cap sleeves and the tiered skirt on the white bridal gown looked every inch a modern one – pretty yet very avant garde.
A perfect recipe for a wonderful wedding ensemble.
Androgynous super model Andrej Pejic opened the show in a lace corset and bias cut silk skirt, setting the pace for collection which was like a dream come true.
Gowns were made in flowing fabrics in gauze, silk and good old satin. Embellishments in the form of feathers, corsages lent ethereal beauty to the gowns.
Flowy as well as straight lines ensured that the wedding collection of Rosa Clara was meant for all kinds of body types.
The gowns were also a treat for the new and uninhibited bride, who prefers the traditional yet wants a modern twist to her gown on the special day!
The necklines ranged from asymmetrical, boat neck, raised collar and deep V.
Some gowns were short sleeved, some with full sleeves and some were off shoulders. The designs showcased lots of volume and fluidity – two ever green favorites with all brides to be for their bridal gown.
Usage of fantasy fabrics with floral embroideries and patterns gave the collection a new hint of glamor and feminity.
Shirt style long sleeved top looks great with the full skirt with pockets making it look regal and very 1920’s.The shiny fabric lent a subtle sheen to the gown.
While the wedding gown styles were simple, pretty and extremely feminine, what was also very chic and a perfect show stealer was the hair style and the accessories. Rosa Clara had her models tie their hair in ageless yet evergreen style of buns.
The tiaras matching the color of the gowns, colored stone long ear-rings , delicate white palm gloves were all perfect accompaniments in making the wedding gowns a runway success.
Rosa Clara’s bridal collection for 2013 was a tribute to all things feminine, romantic and beautiful.
