Summer is not the time for flashiness or over-the-top dressing styles. It’s the season for minimalism and simplicity. Both these qualities are embodied in the little white dress – a summer favorite for both day wear and evening wear.

Model/actress Kalia Prescott proves that the little white dress does not have to be understated or unsexy as she arrives for the the world premiere of Mirror Mirror at Graumans Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on March 17.
The pretty brunette wore a sleeveless, knee-length white sheath dress which featured a delightful asymmetrical peplum. Snug and sexy, the outfit is accessorized with a pair of very ‘in’ nude peep-toe pumps, and a green and gold cuff bracelet.
She kept her makeup simple – soft pink lips, transparent mascara and eye liner only on the upper lid. With her hair pulled back into a high ponytail, she looks like a million bucks.
Lea Michele
Actress Lea Michele looked sweet but sexy in her little white dress as she attended the Glee academy screening and Q-A at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater on May 1.
She wore a thigh-length white dress with a very subtle pattern that gave her dress some texture. Featuring short sleeves, the Jenni Kayne frock was accessorized with ankle-strap, open-toed patterned sandals by Giambattista Valli.
Lea kept her hair and makeup very basic so the dress could shine. Her brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail that we loved so much we featured it here yesterday. She finished off her simple but sexy summer look with smoky eye makeup and dusky pink lips.
Shay Mitchell
Meanwhile, Canadian actress and model gave us much to gush about as she arrived at the ABC Family West Coast Upfronts party at The Sayers Club on May 1.
Featuring a crew neckline, lacy bodice and above-knee-length skirt, Shay’s little white dress looks fresh and cool. Her luxurious brown hair was left loose in all its curly glory and she too, like Lea, went with smoky eyes and dusky pink lips.
The towering burgundy pumps that she accessorized her dress with are to-die-for. As is that gorgeous golden box clutch purse she’s holding on to. Diamond stud earrings and an almost-imperceptible ring add just the right amount of sparkle that she needed to finish off this outfit.

We love Georgia May’s hot yet cool summer look as she arrives for the TRIC Awards 2012.
Her short-sleeved lace dress is accessorized daringly with a bright red envelope clutch purse, gold and silver bangles, hooped earrings and off-white pumps. Those bright red lips and long, curly black hair make her look like a femme fatale on a mission.
