Oh, how we’ve missed the androgynous look! It’s been awhile since we came across a successful androgynous outfit worth writing about. I’m happy to say we have one today.
Actress Stana Katic, 33, looked radiant and downright beautiful in well-tailored black pants and black jacket as she arrived for Forevermark Diamond and InStyle 2012 Golden Globes “A Promise of Beauty and Brilliance” preview event held at Bar Nineteen 12 of the Beverly Hills Hotel, 9641 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California. She wore a white long-sleeved, front-buttoned collared shirt, the cuffs of which peeked out from the jacket.
The Castle star wore simple black boots that went well with the suit.
To add a feminine touch to the ensemble, Stana tied back her hair in a low messy bun so that the chandelier silver earrings she wore could be seen properly. The brunette beauty did up her eyes darkly, and went with soft pink lips with some blush on her cheeks.
Simple, stylish, natural, classic – Stana’s outfit reflects who she is a person, which is perhaps why this look suits her to a T.
Get The Look
We saw a lot of Hollywood A-listers in some fantastic androgynous looks in 2011. Stana’s features in the top 5 not only because of the simplicity but also because her outfit is perfectly tailored and falls on her beautifully. Maybe the long-legged stunner couldn’t find anything her size and had to custom stitch a suit. Whatever the reason, it was a good call.
The fitting of the clothes that you wear as part of any outfit matters greatly, but even more so with the androgynous look. If you are planning on sporting this look, you would be better off hiring a tailor to stitch a suit for you rather than picking something up from the rack at the mall. You can buy the shirt or blouse you’ll be wearing with the suit separately, but it is imperative that the pants, at the very least, are exactly your size.
