We already know that the Duchess of Cambridge has an astounding sense of style and she can give even seasoned Hollywood celebs a run for their money. And even though we knew this we were still blown away by the black strapless gown by Alexandra McQueen that Kate donned for the The Sun Military Awards 2011 at the Imperial War Museum in London on December 19.
The floor-sweeping strapless gown had a fitted bodice that showed off her slender waist and a flowy, fishtail skirt. There was slight fringe detailing along the hem of the bust. The 29-year-old beauty paired the dress with matching black suede pumps from Jimmy Choos and a black velvet clutch from Pretty Ballerinas which was designed by Jaime Mascaro.
Apart from her wedding and engagement rings, Kate took the bling factor up quite a few notches with a matching diamond and ruby set that included a stunning necklace, earrings and a bracelet.
She styled her hair in loose curls for the evening. And her signature dark eyeliner and pink lipstick completed her ensemble. The Duchess of Cambridge looks more like she was born to be royalty each time we see her.
The Sun Military Awards were created to honor the troops of the nation and commemorate their courage in battle. Apart from Kate, husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry, hundreds of other A-listers turned up to show their support including Amy Childs, David Beckham with his sons in tow, Alesha Dixon, Myleene Klass, Peter Andre, Sara Cox, and Gordon Ramsay.
