After suing Yves Saint Laurent over its red-soled shoes, Christian Louboutin is all set to take legal action against Brazilian shoemaker Carmen Steffens over the same issue. Red soles have always been a signature of Louboutin shoes and the premier shoemaker has also obtained a trademark over the soles from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
In its defense, Steffens has rightly claimed that the red soles of its company are of a different tone and that very few of its shoes have red soles. But nonetheless, the brand has been trying to cash of its comparisons with Christian Louboutin by posting an article from Tout Ma on its website which compares the two brands along with pictures.
