Sunday night saw singer Keith Urban pick up two of the top trophies at the Country Music Awards Australia.
Not only did his hit album You Gonna Fly pick up the award for Top Selling Album of the Year, he was also named Male Artist of the Year.
The glitzy bash was held at Tamworth’s Regional Entertainment Center, but Urban was unfortunately not able to attend. He addressed fans through a video link, saying that he was grateful to all the people who bought the record as they were the ones who had made this happen.
Another big winner was Beccy Cole who took home Golden Guitars for Vocal Collaboration of the Year for her hit duet Millionaires with Kasey Chambers, as well as Female Artist of the Year.
Adam Harvey won Album of the Year for his record Falling Into Place, and Catherine Britt’s Sweet Emmylou was Single of the Year.
