Actress Bridget Moynahan’s gave us some trendy ideas for elegant formal wear for the winter as she arrived at Odeon Kensington High Street in London on January 30 for the UK premiere of This Means War.
The uber sophisticated fashionista wore a white and black double breasted white jacket with tailored black loose-fitting pants that reached almost to the floor and covered her black shoes. Accentuating with a black stole draped loosely around her neck, this is one snazzy take on formal wear that we are absolutely in love with.
Bridget accessorised with a black clutch, a large black ring on each hand, and a pair of dangle earrings. Her hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail. The former model wore dark eye makeup and a muted rose shade of lipstick. Can you believe she’s 41? The brunette beauty looks at least ten years younger. And her sharp, modern outfit adds to that impression.
Get The Look
This is an extremely elegant ensemble for the winter. But you can easily pull off this look for work too, especially if you are going to a high-powered business luncheon or meeting where you will be perceived on the basis of your cothes. This outfit accentuates your beauty as a woman but it also highlights your confidence, capability, and no-nonsense attitude. Sleek and practical, this one will bowl all those high-rollers over and have them eating from the palm of your hand.
You may have trouble keeping those pants pressed though. The fabric of most pants wrinkle very easily, and this could disrupt your neat-as-a-pin look. Invest in pants that are made from wrinkle-resistant fabrics. If you can’t afford to, then you’ll have to be extra careful every time you sit down so as not to create unsightly creases.
If you want your formal work look to be a little softer, you can wear your hair down instead of tying it back. Hair too long and afraid it will get in your face? Why not try a milkmaid braid or a side braid that will add another element of style and keep your hair from falling into your eyes or getting in your way.
