Actress Freida Pinto was resplendent in a blue ball gown as she arrived for the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on January 15.
The 27-year-old donned a voluminous strapless gown in a pretty shade of blue that suited her dusky skin tone. A slim black belt accentuated her tiny waist. The floor-sweeping number fell beautifully on her svelte figure, while the ball-gown style of the dress brought pizzazz to the red carpet.
Accessorizing with a dazzling necklace from Chopard, Freida actually had to walk around with a bodyguard for the safety of her very expensive bling. She also carried a small red and gold clutch from Roger Vivier’s Voodoo line.
The petite brunette went with a very simple hairdo, pulling back the tresses from the crown but leaving the rest of her long hair straight and loose. The flawless beauty completed her red carpet look with dark eye makeup, subtle pink matte lipstick, and a slight brush of rouge on her cheeks.
Get The Look
With a strapless ball gown, you must complete the princess-like look with the right accessories. Of course, this doesn’t mean you load up with a tiara and gems on every available inch. That would be overkill. Instead, wear just one or two select pieces of jewelery. If you have a stunning necklace like Freida’s, then just stick with the one. Or you can go more subtle with your gems and wear earrings too. How about an arm bracelet to give your look a bit of a warrior princess edge?
Avoid shawls or stoles with your ball gown or you’ll look like you are contesting in a beauty pageant. If it’s cold and you want something to keep warm, try a faux fur capelet. They are cute, trendy, and they will look luxurious with your ball gown.
Reserve your ball gown for ultra-formal dos at night.
