Lindsay Lohan has new issues to deal with in the New Year. Barely ten days into January and she is already facing a lawsuit from an injured paparazzo as well as a tax lien.
Lohan spent most of 2011 dealing with the legal repercussions of her probation violation. And it seems like 2012 will not give her any respite from her troubles.
TMZ.com obtained legal documents on Tuesday which claim that injured photographer Grigor Balyan was hit by a car which was being driven by Lohan’s assistant. The incident occurred two years ago as he was trying to get a shot of the Mean Girls star. Although his lawyer, Neil Steiner, said that he was agreeable to a settlement with the insurance company at the time, the compensation offered was too insignificant to be seriously considered, which is why he is advising his client to seek damages for the orthopedic and neurological treatment he received following the accident.
Meanwhile, the IRS is chasing Lohan for $93,700 in federal taxes which she failed to pay in 2009.
