According to reports, Snoop Dogg was arrested and booked on drug possession charges in Texas on the weekend.
TMZ.com reports that the rapper’s stash of weed was discovered on his tour bus by a drug-sniffing pooch in the middle of a a routine vehicle check at the border crossing.
Ironically, the location of the drug bust – Sierra Blanca – was exactly where Willie Nelson was booked for marijuana possession back in 2010.
The customs agents allegedly found several rolled joints tucked into a prescription bottle in the dust bin. Snoop Dogg confessed that the marijuana was his. Although he has a prescription for cannabis in California, it does not extend to Texas.
The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was taken to a precinct, booked, and let go.
Neither Snoop Dogg nor his reps have commented on the incident yet.
