Sanaa Lathan painted a pretty picture in a lime yellow strapless gown as she walked down the red carpet of the Rose Theater in the Jazz at Lincoln Center for the New York City premiere of her new movie “Contagion” on Wednesday.
The Tony award nominee plays Laurence Fishburne’s fiancé in the Steven Sorderbergh action-thriller, a story about a virus that breaks out globally and the efforts of the main cast to find answers and stay alive.
The color of the full-length gown Lathan wore, perfectly complimented her dusky skin tone and the fabric flowed smoothly over her graceful figure. With its ruched detailing at the waistline, the gown was elegant in its simplicity, lending Lathan a soft, feminine look combined with an aura of strength.
Lathan wisely kept the bling to a minimum, choosing to sport only a matching set of under-stated dangle earrings and a gemstone ring on her right hand. The actress left her luxurious locks loose to frame her face and fall down her bare shoulders.
Get the look
Replicating this look is a breeze precisely because of its simplicity. You can always give it your own touch by jazz it up a bit with the correct accessories or trying a hairdo that you know looks good on you. For example, you can wear a glittering brooch to add a bit of sparkle. Or you could put your hair up in a chignon and don an elaborate neck piece.
