First lady of the United States, Michelle Obama wore pieces by Roksanda Ilincic as she walked the red carpet along with her husband for the state visit arrival ceremony of the Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday. Obama, who is famous for her great sense of style, chose to wear a beaded wool satin dress and wool coat from the designer’s Fall 2010 collection. Ilincic was thrilled that Michelle chose to wear her creation and gushed about how much she loved the first lady’s classic yet incredibly modern style.
The outfit that Mrs. Obama wore was toned down from the runway version and the sleeves were made less voluminous. She accessorized with her trademark burst of color in form of red gloves and wore over the knee boots to complete her formal and elegant style. Her short hair was styled with a side part and she used pink lip gloss to finish off her look.
