Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor was left shocked by the lack of medical facilities when she interacted with syringe exchange clients in New York. Taylor was recently at the syringe exchange centre for a health drive in New York.
Sharing her experiences in The Independent on Wednesday to mark World AIDS Day, the 78 year old called the experience moving and eye-opening as she witnessed firsthand the connection between syringe exchange and HIV transmission. The superstar is the founding international chairman of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR)
