We’ve seen her sport many breezy cool looks during the promotional events for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ but this time during a Mumbai event on May 16th, Kangana Ranaut took us by surprise. Instead of her usual western silhouettes and subdued colors, she went all out in a bright pink Payal Khandwala silk saree and an electric blue blouse. We love such bold color choice, but for colors as such, styling plays a key role in making it a hit or a miss.
So let’s check out whether we should give a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down to Kangana’s saree style.
The actress decided on a natural make-up with just a hint of clear lip gloss and a teeny tiny bindi. Then, she loosely pulled her hair into a leisure bun and further added traditional mogra flowers to bring out that Indian appeal. No complains there, those were smart choices.

Now for the jewelleries, this is so important for a traditional Indian look because many women have a thing for piling on heavy jewelleries making the look really busy. Kangana did pick up heavy jhumkas from Jaipur Gems that looked oh-so-gorgeous against her light make-up. But she understood well to end where necessary. She ditched all other accessories to let the saree and the jhumka do the talking. That’s what we call H2T perfection! A thumbs-up, we loved it!

Also check out her co-star R. Madhavan who has been donning ethnic looks for most of the film’s promotional outings. He decided on a striking red and black print kurta pajama suit that looked particularly good on him.
