The Black Buck case dates back to the night of September 26-27in the year 1998, when the actors were booked for hunting chinkaras, a rare and endangered deer species, at Kankani village in Jodhpur.
The other accused in the case include actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Satish Shah. The incident happened during the shooting of their film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Jodhpur. They were booked by the Rajasthan Forest Department on charges of poaching of endangered animals.
In the trial held on 28th October, 2014, a prosecution witness has identified actors Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu in the 16-year-old black buck poaching case.
