Day 1 of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW) 2013, in Mumbai, India, which started on November 29th 2013 saw a lot of designers presenting their collections. Tarun Tahiliani was one of them and we saw his ensembles in full traditional swing!
Tarun Tahiliani Showcases His Traditional Bridal Wear at IBFW 2013 on Day 1
The collection had a range of lehengas, saris and anarkali suits to choose from. The clothes were painted in white, beige and gold with a strong punch of red orange and mauve.

The ensembles had embroidery work typical to Tahiliani’s signature style, traditional zardosi work and Rajasthani mirror work with net and velvet used on the borders. Each piece had different jewellery to match the outfit, from pearl bracelets to gold chokers to floral maang tikas.

As for the menswear, there was beautiful all-over embroidery work on the bandhgala sherwanis and were accessorized with traditional brooches.

If you know your designers well, you’d be able to guess from afar that this was a classic Tarun Tahiliani collection. There was nothing very exciting or new that met the eye but we’re fine with that because we love his patent designs just the way they are!
