Red carpets – or in this case orange ones – are the perfect place for a little friendly style war. We spotted two of Bollywood’s most eclectic fashionsitas Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2013 in Mumbai, India on November 14, 2013. Each young and gorgeous lady was attired in a an outfit that reflected her personal style sense. But which one was better? Let’s take a closer look.
Who Styled Black Better – Deepika or Jacqueline
Deepika wore a tea-length black dress that had a slim black patent belt cinching in her slim waist. But the belt wasn’t just over the dress. It also cinched in a gloriously colorful jacket with a quirky print that was effervescent, fun and a little mad. We love the vibe it brought to her ensemble.

She accessorized with a statement necklace that had a lot of character, life and pizazz. Burnished gold pointy pumps were her only other accessories. She completed her look with a very classy voluminous retro-ish hairdo and contemporary nude makeup.

Jacqueline, on the other hand, went with an evening gown. It was black till the thigh and then flared our into gold with a black print till the floor. The raised collar and full sleeves may have appeared modest, but a cutout back ensured that it was balanced out with a dollop of sexiness.

Long, elegant dangle earrings in black and gold and a gold cuff bracelet were her only accessories. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see her footwear underneath that skirt. Red lips, brown eye liner and a modern updo rounded off her look.

We have to wholeheartedly give our vote to Deepika. Her look is simply incredible. There is so much thought and aesthetic sense that has gone into it. And we love the fusion of textures, prints and colors. Jacqueline looks great too but almost shabby when you compare her to Deepika. Sorry, Jackie, but you’ve got to bring more than your A game if you want to contend with someone as deliciously style savvy as Deepika. But you know what, that’s just our take. Do you agree? Or are you more impressed with Jacqueline’s attempt at red carpet elegance.
