As Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 gets under way, celebrities and socialites head to the venue in Mumbai, India eager to show off their own style sense while getting a first peek at what will be trendy in the months to come. We spotted three fashionistas of the film industry who seemed to be on the same page when it came to their outfits. Bollywood actors Tanisha Mukherjee, Kalki Koechlin and Genelia D’Souza were all spotted in sweetly similar avatars as they attended Nikhil Thampi’s show.
Tanisha Mukherjee at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2013
Tanisha went with a youthful, almost preppy look in a pink blouse with a print of musical notes in black. It was paired with monochrome bottoms with a quirky print in black and white checks.

The blouse was long and untucked so there was a flowy feel to her look which was balanced out by her black patent pumps and black handbag. We think she’d done a great job looking fresh, fun and fabulous.
Kalki Koechlin at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2013
Kalki was our favourite in a blue knee-length skater skirt and full-sleeved white shirt buttoned all the way to the top. A pair of stacked brown ankle-straps completed the pretty picture.

It’s a wholesome yet classy look which beautifully emphasizes her unique beauty. Natural makeup and a half-up, half-down hairdo only added to the charm.
Genelia D’Souza at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2013
We do like Genelia’s peach shirt and peach skirt, but it’s really not the best color for her because it totally washes her out. She looks sallow and the look is altogether uninspiring on her. A pair of black pumps did manage to add some pizzazz, but only just about. That being said, the ensemble should not be dismissed as it really is quite sweet with plenty of potential.

An addition of a colorful blazer or slightly more dramatic makeup could do wonders in sprucing it up.
