Bollywood actress Perizaad Zorabian sported a couture-worthy ensemble at the 8th Edition of Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour Preview 2012 (BPFT) in Mumbai, India on September 2.
Her look
Traditional glam
What she wore
She has a natural beauty and charm that transcends the clothes she is wearing, but this ensemble is gorgeous enough to match those innate qualities. Perizaad was resplendent in an off-white anarkali suit which featured very rich and intricate embroidery in gold on the bodice as well as the border of her dupatta. The hemline of the skirt too was emblazoned with thick gold bands.
She accessorized with gold and pearl hoop earrings and nude peep-toe heels with bow detailing, completing her look with voluminous wavy hair left loose, coral lips and smoky eyes.
Get the Look
Anarkali suits in white and gold are an elegant Indian traditional look which you may find more convenient and practical to wear than a sari. These suits usually come with pretty heavy embroidery in rich gold or silver so you may want to keep the jewellery to a minimum or perhaps sport just one accessory like Perizaad’s hoop earrings. For footwear, you can try matching heels or a pair of mojaris.
How and where to sport the look
This rich look is the way to go for any occasion which calls for traditional wear like an Indian festival, mehendi, weddings and engagements. If wearing it for a wedding, be warned that you may make an enemy of the bride when you stand out more than her in this uber-glam ensemble!
