Mumbai, Monday, August 06, 2012: Giving the stylish elegant woman a great collection of bags, VEEV presented its latest line of hand bags called “Second Skin” at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012.
The show styled by ace designer Aki Narula, opened with leggy models lining the ramp with their faces hidden under yards of fabrics and dressed in very simple stark black/grey outfits. Soon, striking models quickly strutted down the ramp showing a kaleidoscope of colours and designs to suit every woman’s tastes and fancies in the choice of bags and clutches.
The great looking collection had a timeless sophisticated quality with its perfect finish. The structured bags and pretty clutches had easy silhouettes that came alive on the ramp with leather and highlighted the natural grains on the skins.
The beautiful attachments like the trims and handles added charm to the bags. Layered appliqués along with clever leather weaving, gave a luxurious touch to the collection. Colours ranged from earthy tones to gentle pastels as well as bright hues and shimmering metallic options.
Hand bag flaps and handles were clasped with gleaming silver attachments; while the hand bag shapes moved from dainty evening clutches to large spacious drum shaped handbags, portfolios, shopping and shoulder bags – some with very artistic textured stitching or basket weaves.
The finale was reserved for the very stylish bag with a leather weave featured in eight different colours on the arms of a graceful model.
To complete the look for the festive season, it is VEEV bags that will add that touch of classic sophistication to every ensemble with their “Second Skin” collection.
