Bullet Bras
Bullet bras also known as a torpedo or cone bra were quite popular during the 1940's. They are named so after their bullet-like pointed and conical shape. It was during the Cold War era that these bras came into shape. The shape of the bra is also similar to that of an airplane nose, according to many.
Bullet bras are a type of full-support bra with cups in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution with its axis perpendicular to the breasts. A typical bullet bra featured concentric circles of decorative stitching that were centered on the nipples.
The design featured a reinforced circular stitching, stitched from the centre of the each cup, stitched radically outwards. Some featured “spokes” stitched in the similar manner.
The cups are in the shape of a paraboloid of revolution with an axis parallel to the breasts.
They provided full support and coverage to the breasts. They also provided great lift and decolletage.
However, these bras required some stuffing to be filled into the cups, by many, so as to fill them properly.
Madonna popularized these bras when she wore one to her “Blonde Ambition” tour in 1990. The bra was designed by fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.
By 1960's and 70's these conical bras were completely replaced by under-wires and padding.

These bras are hypoallergenic and comfortable.
They may help you add volumes to your bust area and give you a smoother silhouette, under your dress.
