She took home two Grammy Awards for her hit song Mean. But we would have remembered Taylor Swift even if she hadn’t bagged them thanks to the stunning mermaid train gold gown by Zuhair Murad which she wore as she arrived at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on February 12.
The 22-year-old’s cheongsam-inspired outfit consisted of a nude dress with a sheer overlay featuring exquisite gold embroidery. The high neck and caplet sleeves of the dress were off-set by a delicate cut-out on the chest. Already mind-blowing, the dress surprised with an interesting cut-out on the back as well. She accessorized the gown with deep-gold dangle earrings and a simple ring.
Taylor has the figure of a runway model so this intricately-embellished gown with the inspired cutouts made her look statuesque. It fell beautifully in her petite frame and made quite an impact on an already star-studded red carpet. Now that’s quite a feat.
The country singer wore her blonde hair in an understated romantic updo and finished her look with soft red lips subtle eye makeup.
This was definitely one of the more successful red carpet looks at the Grammys this year. Taylor has always been on the best-dressed list and it’s great to see she’s still got what it takes to put together a winning ensemble.
